I have been looking on all of the major ticket engines such as Travelocity, Expedia, Hotwire, etc and found a median price from San Francisco to Hawaii (HNL). Does anyone have some advice on getting good deals on tickets. I searched my flights under wednesday which I heard was cheaper and still came out with a charge of about 300 a person round trip. What do you all recommend? Thanks.

Well, I've been buying tickets for years every few months to go to my moms house and I'm only 15.
What I would recomend is flying on a Thurday because Friday
Saturday and Sunday is always more expensive. Also, If you buy tickets at night they cheaper.
I always look at Travlocity.com I really love it.
Im also planning a trip to Hawaii

My friends and I are planning a trip to Hawaii in December for Christmas and we're looking for a package deal…

There will be a total of 8 adults and we plan to stay for 2 weeks…

We want to stay at the Hilton Village hotel and resort in Oahu and need help with finding an all-inclusive flight/hotel…

our last resort is a travel agent…. So please any help would be much appreciated…

Look on the "vacations page" to find the best package deal. Besides a vacation package, have you considered a cruise around the islands. All your food and lodging is included in the price and there is a good selection of cruises that leave from Los Angeles, San Diegeo and Honolulu. Just think of all the islands you can visit without the cost of flying there. However, I would recommend doing a cruise the week before Christmas to save some money.

I’m possibly going and I want to make sure I get a good deal. So I’m asking here for people with experience traveling between florida and Hawaii what the average price would be so I know what kind of prices I’m looking for. Thank you!!

Coming from Virginia, almost close to Florida, because of the East Coast locale, it would be around $1400 per person, rounded up, flying economy. The prices are pretty high lately because of “rising gas prices”, if you could find a cheaper flight, I would recommend taking a flight from Florida to a lay over like Cleveland (the most likely of layovers), then taking a different airline from Cleveland to Hawaii. This way, you’re actually paying for two different airline tickets, but the cost is quite cheaper than paying for a whole round trip ticket. For the trip back, I would do the same, except reverse the order. So in total, itll be 4 airline tickets you are paying for, but in the long run, you’ll save a couple hundred or more. My aunt flies like this all the time from the East Coast to Hawaii and it costs her about $1000 total, round trip. Don’t ever pay roundtrip! You’ll lose money and more than likely, you’ll probably have NO money once you’re in paradise!

Good luck!

How much is a plane ticket usually worth from Houston to Hawaii?
I haven't planed on what island, but i just want to know how much a plane ticket cost so i can start saving up.

The last time I went from houston to Hawaii it was around $600 per for coach and continental has a non stop for around $900. I recommend using continental, I have flown this airline many times from houston to hawaii and hawaii to houston, being in the military, stationed in hawaii and my family living in houston, i have tried almost all the airlines going to and from over the pacific and I think they are the best.

We are planning a trip to Hawaii soon, we aren't sure which island or beach to go to. We are a family with a toddler and really aren't interested in going to a party area, we just want a family area that has resteraunts and family entertainment nearby. What is the best area for famalies who are visiting Hawaii, and which island would be best.

I think Waikiki would be a good location, as there are many child friendly things to do & see on Oahu. We have a decent zoo & aquarium, a children's museum, & good beaches for little ones. Ala Moana & Magic Island are both near Waikiki & are very safe. There are several places where you can explore tide pools, which most children find fascinating. There are some in the Makapuu/Waimanalo area & others on the north shore. For older children, there are lots of other things, so I wouldn't recommend the water park, but for toddlers, there are not quite so many age appropriate things to do. So for them, I would suggest the water park in Kapolei, which has an area set aside for the little ones.

Hope you have a wonderful vacation!

I'm going to backpack in Hawaii and want cheap inter-island travel. I want to visit the islands and so a package deal would be useful but I purely want flights/boats, i.e. no hotels, transport from airport etc. Flexibility with the interisland travel would also be useful, you know book a round travel ticket from one date to another but I can travel whenever between the islands, if that makes sense. Any help with this would be great!

I have been to hawaii. I remember there was a jet service that would take people from different island. The airline is called "go!". Right now it has $30 (USD) flights from Oahu. You also might be able to find scenic flights that give you a good look at islands and take you from one to another. That might cost a lot, but its your preference
