Stay away from Oahu, if at all possible, unless you want to visit Pearl Harbor.

Maui is my absolute fave. Before I came here, I always envisioned Hawaii to be tropical and lush…you’ve got it here! Definitely very different from the mainland…more laid back and relaxed.

I have, however heard from several different people that Kauai is better than Maui. Never been there myself, but I’d take their word for it. If you’re looking for a relaxing tropical vacation, I’d set my sights on Kauai!

How about a Hawaii cruise. I think you can get on for under $800 and you get food included. You will also get to travel to all major islands. Check out http://www.hawaiiancruisereviews.com for Hawaii cruise information. If I wanted the whole Hawaii experience then I would definitely do a Hawaii cruise.

If I was to choose one island though I would recommend Maui.

You need to ask your self? What do I want to do? Do you want to lay on beach or get out and sight see?
I am a tour escort in Hawaii, have been for many years.
And each Island offers something unique & different.
My personal favorite? Each one of them. They are all a part of Paradise.

I live on Maui, but spend as much time on Oahu. Yet visit each of the Islands regularly

I would suggest Maui………We have gone there three times and we love it. There is just enough to do but not as touristy as Oahu (where Waikiki) is……I hear Kauai is the most beautiful.

If you go to Maui you have to do the zipline……
