Best place to find ticket to Hawaii?
Author: admin
I have tried the usual travelocity and priceline and all that hooplah, but they all seem pretty expensive. I know its not going to be down right cheap but I didnt know if there was a diffrent site anyone knows about that gives pretty good deals or would it just be cheaper to go to a travel agent? My only draw back with an agent is, I don’t need a hotel I’ll be staying with a friend, and I don’t need any sightseeing packages. Any thoughts or ideas? Im leaving from houston by the way, and thinking sometime in april or may, a saturday-monday or tuesday
Just keep trying. From Houston is difficult because it’s the Continental hub and that non-stop flight to Honolulu is usually fairly expensive. I’ve seen it for $500 in May, but that was two years ago. You can try Hawaiian Airlines from one of their gateway west coast cities, and then find a cheaper flight to that city on another airline (like Southwest).
A travel agent might find a cheaper flight but you will have to pay a $30 to $50 fee.

I would definitely take the trip destination #2 to Italy. It has been my lifetime dream to see the ruins in Rome. The history is so incredible. The architecture and the history behind each and every building is in my opinion the worlds greatest treasure. St. Peters Basilica, St.Peters in Chains and the other 900 or so churches are all incredible works of art. To sit in the Colosseum and envision the chariot races would be awesome. The works of art and sculptures of artists like Michelangelo are the best in the world. I would love to ride a gondola through Venice, tour the castles in Tuscany, and explore every inch of that part of the world. I can’t imagine a minute being boring there. I think every child has pretended to be a knight in shining armour or the princess in a castle. To actually stand in the spot that your childhood dreams were made of would be mind boggling. There’s just too much to see and learn. To me it’s just like a whole different world and a piece of history that could never be replicated or rebuilt. I really worry that with all the strife in the world it may not be there for the next generation to appreciate.
I’m planning my honeymoon and I want to go to two islands in Hawaii (The Big Island and Maui) so I’m using Expedia.com because its the only travel site that allows you to book a flight and a hotel to multiple destinations within one "trip" I look online everyday and keep finding different prices for the same travel package.
Does anyone know when the best time to book is? When do prices tend to fluctuate towards the cheaper end of the spectrum? Someone told me that in the middle of the night on Thursdays is when flights update their prices and it might be cheaper then, has anyone heard this before? Also any other advice is welcome. Thanks!
I searched on this site and got the Cheapest Flight,check it out,it also had discount coupon codes for expedia,orbitz,travelocity,kayak,priceline,etc.

Where can we find all exclusive honeymoon packages?
Author: admin
We want a package to Hawaii for 2. In this package we want Flight, Hotel, and Meals. Activities do not have to be included. We really don’t want to spend more than $1500.00 a person. I know we can go to a travel agent. If you think that is a good idea please give reasons.
Hawaii tends to be more expensive and not offer as many all inclusives since it’s a US state and there are no all inclusives in the states. I would recommend Jamaica, Swept Away Resort in particular. You should go to a travel agent because they will give you the different options and make sure it’s perfect for you. You shouldn’t risk doing it yourself for such a special occasion. Plus you don’t pay them, the hotels and airlines do.
Civil Ceremony? Vow Renewal? Wedding?
Author: admin
My fiance and I got engaged on the 31st of July. We are kind of in a hurry to get married because we have a baby due in January. We have the wedding certificate all ready to go … but I refuse to do a courthouse wedding in fear that a traditional wedding will keep being put off due to the baby. We were going to have a small backyard wedding but we currently live in Minnesota with his family while he works and saves up money. All of my family lives in Kansas and they cannot afford to come up to Minnesota … his family cannot afford to go to Kansas … so we’re in a pickle. Then I thought, well why don’t we just do a small, private wedding, with just the two of us in Hawaii or somewhere. That way, we don’t have to worry about family, the stress and time crunch of planning, location etc. I’ve been looking online for hours trying to find something like a small civil ceremony type thing in an all inclusive wedding package but all of them require processing of the marriage certificate and they include cake, chairs for guests, reception hall, music etc. That’s way too much. We just want to stand on a beach and have somebody perform the traditional readings and we want to stay there for the honeymoon. Does anybody know of any travel agency that offers that sort of thing?
Would it be called a vow renewal if we’ve already had a courthouse wedding in Minnesota? Should I just look for vow renewal packages instead of marriage packages?
Technically it would be considered a vow renewal (in Hawaii or wherever) if you got married in a courthouse first. Call the travel agencies and talk to them about your situation. Just because it says "cake, chairs etc included" doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t customize your "order." Call. It never hurts to and you might find something extraordinary.
Well, part of it is about tatto removal….and the Ted Kennedy Institute for the Senate; promoting astronmy in Hawaii; handling pig odor and management…. (and I’m not kidding) …. read on…. you need to know this stuff because you are paying for it….
The spending has just begun and THE REASON GIVEN BY THE DEMS IS THAT GEORGE BUSH TIGHTENED THE BUDGET TOO MUCH

House Approves $410 Billion ‘Omnibus’ Spending Bill (Update2)
Feb. 25 (Bloomberg) — The U.S. House voted to
1)boost spending on domestic programs by 8 %,
2)2) ease restrictions on travel to Cuba,
3) and kill a school voucher program in Washington, D.C., (Personal comment:which, by the way keeps DC poor children from getting a scholarship to go to a PRIVATE SCHOOL and mingle with O’s princesses’).
The “omnibus” bill is supposed to fund federal government for the next 7 MONTHS. Democrats said the spending increase, on top of a $787 billion economic stimulus package signed last week, WAS NEEDED TO MAKE UP FOR TIGHTER BUDGES DURING THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION.
“Republicans criticized the spending increase as unaffordable while the government is projected to run a deficit topping $1.2 trillion. They also said the bill contradicted President Barack Obama’s pledge to rein in the federal defic
The Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission would get 31 % funding increases,
while the Food and Drug Administration’s budget would grow by 19 %
The budget for the House of Representatives itself would increase by 10 percent while funding for Senate operations would grow by 8 percent.
Out of that 410 BILLION, the legislation also includes almost $8 BILLION for 8,500 CONGRESSIONAL PET PROJECTS also known as EARMARKS, according to the Washington-based Taxpayers for Common Sense.
Among the earmarks are
$200,000 for “Tattoo Removal Violence Prevention Outreach Program,” pg. 283;
*Maine lobster earmark in the omnibus, pg. 173;
*$5.8 million earmark for the “Ted Kennedy Institute for the Senate…for the planning and design of a building & an endowment,” pg. 232;
National Council of La Raza, $473,000 earmark from Sens. Bingaman and Menendez,
$1.8 million for swine odor and manure management research in Iowa,
$2 million to promote astronomy in Hawaii and
$381,000 for music programs at New York City’s Lincoln Center.
The bill is H.R. 1105.

Italy. The art, the culture, the history. the food. I’m in love with pictures. If I had to pick a place today and depart tomorrow, that’d be it.
Honeymoon options: Fiji, Asia or Europe?
Author: admin
Here’s the thing: we had our 2 week honeymoon all booked for Hawaii and Mexico, except there’s all this political turmoil going on in Mexico now so we’ve decided to cancel that part.
From Hawaii, should we go to Fiji (bonus: direct flight, only 6 hours, probably amazing experience) or somewhere in Asia, like Thailand or China? (drawback: no direct flights to China, 15 hours total travel time, same as going from NYC where we live. Thailand has an even longer connection time. Although the bonus is, they are both much cheaper)? Another option is to come back to NYC, go home for 1 night, and then fly to either Lisbon, Prague or Venice for 5 nights. Bonus is that we love Europe and know for a fact it would be a great time, the package is also much cheaper than Fiji so we would have more money to spend there.
Any advice? We don’t want to get bored on our honeymoon, so I’m thinking Fiji and Hawaii might be too similar. Fiji is pretty expensive, but I feel like this is a once in a lifetime thing. Europe is great in its own way, though not as special since we’ve been there before.
Thanks!
Kristy, LOL at this point we’d be riding on a plane for 15 hours either way, whether coming back and going to Europe or going to the other side from Hawaii and going to Asia
I suggest LISBON and the magnificent beaches of Portugal. I totally recommend it.
Prague, it’s nice, museums and unexpensive, but very cold and cloudy most of the year (summer is only 6 weeks long) and you will get bored after a while.
Venice: I would not recommend it for a honeymoon. It’s CROWDED, full of peddlers and gypsies, and the facilities are limited, hotels expensive and sub par. Venice is nice for a day trip and that’s it. I suggest other parts of Italy such as Sicily, Capri and Sorrento. Now, that’s something to look at, great locals, plenty of beaches and sunshine, fantastic food.
Good luck
