Best place to find ticket to Hawaii?
I have tried the usual travelocity and priceline and all that hooplah, but they all seem pretty expensive. I know its not going to be down right cheap but I didnt know if there was a diffrent site anyone knows about that gives pretty good deals or would it just be cheaper to go to a travel agent? My only draw back with an agent is, I don’t need a hotel I’ll be staying with a friend, and I don’t need any sightseeing packages. Any thoughts or ideas? Im leaving from houston by the way, and thinking sometime in april or may, a saturday-monday or tuesday
Just keep trying. From Houston is difficult because it’s the Continental hub and that non-stop flight to Honolulu is usually fairly expensive. I’ve seen it for $500 in May, but that was two years ago. You can try Hawaiian Airlines from one of their gateway west coast cities, and then find a cheaper flight to that city on another airline (like Southwest).
A travel agent might find a cheaper flight but you will have to pay a $30 to $50 fee.

Airfare to Hawaii, regardless of where you go to buy the ticket is going to be expensive.
All the online travel sites, get the same price information from the airline. So it is highly unlikely to see much of a difference in price from site to site. However, there is always a difference in price from airline to airline.
