Hawaii Travel Vacations
Hot Hawaii travel and vacation deals!
how do i get the best deal on a hawaii vacation (maui or kauai)?
I recommend staying at least 10 days. There is lots to see and do if you have never been there. Maui is our personal favorite. This is a pretty good deal if you are looking for a family friendly decent resort:

Free rental car, nice buffet breakfast every morning, free cocktails every evening for 2 hours and other freebies as well. We did this last year and were quite happy with it.
If you want to go super-cheap, there are various camping areas.
Maui accomodations can be found here:

Kauai here:

Good luck with your search and ultimately, your vacation.

Plan the trip yourself using the web, Fodor's and Frommer's guide books. Check out airline fares on Aloha Airlines. Check out Bed and Breakfast's on the web.

Planning the trip yourself is definitely the way to go, especially if you are computer savvy. Go to Aloha Airlines' website and sign up for their fare announcements, or just check once in a while. Fall and the winter months, except around the holidays, are great times to find flights. For places to stay, look for condo rentals, especially if you have 3 or four people, they can be cheap. As with any destination, lodging can be extravagant and pricey, or cheap and simple. You get to decide. I haven't been to Kauai yet, so my advice is primarily focused on Maui. My wife and I like to spend time in Wailea and Napili/Kapalua. Good luck!

There's a number of different places on the Internet you can look. I found a wonderful place close to Secret Cove in Maui close to Makena for a very reasonable rate on Craig's List.
