Friend is in Hawaii for VAcations were from Cali is it long distance if i call her cell?
my friend is at hawaii her cellphone is tha same area code as mine will they charge me for the long distance?
It depends on your cell phone carrier. For example, I have Verizon, and whomever I call on the same network it’s free anytime. Since Hawaii is one of the 50 states it is covered in the Verizon Network. You can call your cell carrier to verify, and have her call hers.

It’s not long distance – but if she has to pay roaming charges because she’s in Hawaii, she’ll choke when she gets the bill! But YOU won’t get charged, no.
